Humanity

Emerge and see,
This is an emergency.
First, we were ok,
But now, the second time around,
We fell from the safe bounds of grace.
I admit, the shear force alone
Was enough to break bone,
But not enough to impede recovery.
Into the night we slept in the pitchest of black,
But thanks to our God gifted DNA,
Our healing bone and body did change:

In a cast tightly wrapped overnight-
To a splint in a cylindrical bag,

It represented physical hope
That carried the storm along until
The calm and silent break of dawn
Brought in full health.
Our kind walked, not in stampeding herds,
But as the trot of a reliable community
Stepping with direction.
No matter how radical the weapon,
Intelligence and love will multiply the gathering.
This is our only way.
Countless paths through infinite space.
Only to be bundled and mummified the next day.
Uphold tyranny, but
Applaud this prophetic, relentless, and blessed human race.
